Test have shown that rugged extreme has remain completely drive when exposed to up to 10 ft of water. In addition, due to the unique o-ring construction of the container, the flash drive has chemical resistance when outer cover and flash drive base are sealed together. We can always get you a replacement cover for your flash drive, but we cannot replace your data, that is why Rugged Extreme is the choice for any person who needs to keep their data safe. You can always go with a cheap plastic flash drives that must kept safe from the outside environment, or you can go with the Rugged Extreme.
